The symbol colors indicate how recently an earthquake occurred:

• Red: Earthquakes within the last day
• Orange: Earthquakes within the past 30 days
• Gray: Older earthquakes

The shapes denote earthquake magnitude:

• Smaller circles: Magnitude less than 2
• Medium circles: Magnitude between 2 and 3
• Larger circles: Magnitude between 3 and 4
• Squares: Magnitude between 4 and 5
• Stars: Magnitude greater than 5

Location names, including country names, are automatically determined based on the earthquake epicenter's latitude and longitude coordinates. However, given the complexity of geographical boundaries, this automated process may lead to inaccuracies. If you observe any discrepancies, please do not hesitate to contact us. We assure you that any inaccuracies are unintentional.

When reviewing the app settings, a popup should prompt you to fix the permissions if needed. Next, test the notification feature by navigating to "App Settings" --> "Advanced" --> "Push Notification Test." You should receive three different notifications within a few seconds. Lastly, check that your notification filters are set according to your preferences. For testing purposes, you might want to configure the filter for a wider area and a lower magnitude threshold.

The vertical blue line indicates that the event's epicenter is offshore, in the water. The vertical yellow line signifies that the event data is preliminary or an automatic estimate and has not yet been confirmed.
